It is no secret that EBWF World Champion John Cena is one of the sports industry's most eligible bachelors today. It was thought however, by most, that the 6'2” blue-eyed star had been off the market for several months now as Summerslam 2010 saw the introduction of a couple now known to EBWF fans world wide as “Jorrie” when storyline paired John Cena and Torrie Wilson as the newest on-screen couple. Since August these two lovebirds have been seen all across the country together with many seeing more than mere on-camera sparks.
What began as mere rumors has since been accepted as unofficial fact. John Cena and Torrie Wilson are an on and off screen couple with many claiming to be witness to public displays of affection between the two EBWF stars ranging from hand holding to lip locks. Though no one on the EBWF staff, including Cena and Wilson, has confirmed or denied rumors of Jorrie it has not gone unnoticed that the two have been seen traveling together with a vast increase in joint appearances featuring the two. However, recent Cena sightings have left many scratching their heads. Maybe things aren't how they seem. Just how many women is this "Chain Gang Commander" dating?
On Christmas Eve after the EBWF pay per view Christmas Eve of Destruction John Cena was spotted at Oklahoma City's Will Rogers World Airport with a new woman. A woman whom many onlookers stated, "appeared very at ease with John (Cena)" and whom he, "seemed rather smitten with" per a flight attendant for American Airlines.
This publication has discovered the woman's name is Jessica Rushing. She works as a waitress at a bar and nightclub called Ike's in St. Louis near EBWF headquarters. It is a locale that is commonly frequented by EBWF superstars and staff alike. To the naked eye Jessica Rushing reportedly appeared to be the epitome of the perfect sidekick, voluntarily taking pictures of Cena and fans and being all smiles. Our sources however reveal a different side of John Cena's apparent new love interest. A few individuals who are close to Ms. Rushing are making claims that the girl next door is "just out for fame and money" and "(she) has her sights set on John Cena to give her everything she wants. She's tried this once before but failed." Indeed further investigation revealed that Ms. Rushing was once engaged to an up-and-coming football star by the name of Cole McCambridge who was in the process of being recruited by the Jets when he died while driving under the influence on June 11, 2008. With this history it appears the aforementioned claims may very well be valid. All these claims have many wondering what Cena is thinking. The EBWF boasts some of the most beautiful, successful women in the country. As one anonymous Ike's patron stated at time of interview, "Trust us John, you can do better."
To further add to the confusion as to just who Cena wears on his arm, on numerous occasions Nicole Ikeda and John Cena have been spotted out and about together, looking very friendly. Despite both Cena and Ikeda having publicly denied any relationship beyond that of friendship, actions do not lie. Most recently the pair was spotted at a Miami nightclub getting extremely close and swapping sweat on the dance floor. Ikeda had confirmed at last year's Slammy event that she and EBWF superstar Randy Orton were in fact a couple but now rumor has it that the couple are on the outs and Ikeda has obviously already moved on, finding a new champion of her heart, in John Cena.
Still, friends of the Cena family insist that John has never truly gotten over his now ex-wife, Elizabeth Huberdeau. The couple was together for a total of seven years before getting married and their divorce was finalized in August of 2010. Sources who claim to be close to the couple however are saying not to rule this couple with a past out entirely. One mutual friend of the former couple went on record stating, "Liz and John have had their problems in the past but they have always gotten through them. If they can live in a car together with only $500.00 to their name for four months waiting for John's wrestling career to take off they can get through anything. Divorce is not always the final chapter."
Huberdeau was contacted and agreed to a brief phone interview regarding her current status with Cena. She claims she and Cena still “talk on the phone for hours sometimes” and “we are still very much in love. We were just in different places in our lives at that time and we are trying to work things out now.” In an early 2006 interview John Cena was quoted as saying, "Marriage is a serious thing for me. Too many people take the idea of marriage with a grain of salt. I will only get married once and it will only be with the person I see myself spending eternity with." It was not long after this interview Cena married Huberdeau.
Throughout the years John Cena has made a name for himself inside the wrestling ring however it is his recent out-of-ring activities that have the world, or at least the world's female population, taking notice. Is John Cena taking advantage of his increasing fame by becoming the new player of the wrestling world? Or is this man really just searching for what we are all looking for, another person to be with for eternity?
